Make the most of potential benefits associated with climate change. Some regions will have a longer growing season and more temperate weather. Rebuild better. Create flood and drainage defenses, plan for heat waves, and improve water storage and use.

Local governments are at the frontline of adaptation. Start solving your own environmental concerns at the ground level.

What will it take to transform our throwaway economy? I look forward to an academic institution that wants to solve our pressing problems.

STRATEGIZE

We eat plastic. Could we create a prototype filter to affix to the boat when at sail?

Wells are dry. Could we pipe in ocean water to solar-powered homes to desalinate for household use?

Soils are dead. Could regenerative farming using cover crops plantings with rotational grazing animals help retain water and keeping carbon in?
