Leave your comfort zone.

The open ocean taught me to adapt, live with less, the fine art of resourcefulness and problem-solving -calmly.

Sailing the South Pacific, the Andaman Sea, the Caribbean, and the Sea of Cortez shaped who I am.

I have seen remarkable communities with significantly less tackle environmental crises. It’s time to do more in our own backyards.

SEA OF CORTEZ

Decimated by commercial fishing and tourism development, this once rich diverse marine ecosystem was a vacuum. In 1995 through local activism with engaged partnerships, vast regions and islands of the Sea of Cortez were declared a World Heritage Biosphere. During my time here during the pandemic, I witnessed the home of one-third of the world’s marine life on the remarkable road to recovery.

Advocacy and policy do work.

Purpose & Posse.

Teamwork has taught me to work better together. Competing has taught me to persevere and the importance of not getting in your head.

Germinate Ideas

I have seen the success of collaborating in small think tanks to help solve problems in our school and community. Sometimes it’s just taking the first small step and learning to listen.

  • Giving back to my community has shown me how through leaning in we can create a more caring and just world.

  • I germinate ideas. Through this process I want to find solution-based strategies to conquer climate change.

  • Quality over quantity. Regenerative and organic practices build our soils and our food, while sequestering more carbon.

Be heroic. Believe Fearlessly.

I want to live and learn together to create communities that can adapt and thrive.
